nitten_traveller
Mrs N's 2013 KA recently started leaking oil quite badly. It has been diagnosed as a porous sump and needs to be replaced. The quote to replace is pretty steep and I'm told it's mostly labour as getting to the sump on a KA is not easy. I just wondered if anyone has any experience of doing this or how long it generally takes? The garage reckon it takes several hours hence the high cost (north of £400!). iantt
Petrol Ka is 2.8 hours and diesel 2.0 so yes, quite expensive job at a garage.
nitten_traveller
Thanks for that. Looking at the invoice they don't itemise the labour per hour, though it's a hefty chunk. Most expensive part though is the sealant! Apparently it had to be ordered in specially.
