If I get a caravan that weighs 1500kg would I be ok to tow it its confusing

insurance wise you need to keep within the limits in the manual, safety wise its also a good idea, but other stuff like the height and the correct weight on the tow ball will make at least as much difference to its stability.

the picture shows (assuming its for your specific vehicle) it can pull 1500kg (if the thing you are towing has brakes built in).  Meaning its comfortably within what the car can do.  It could do more, but the stress on brakes, clutch, gearbox etc. increases to the point it would get hot bothered / wear out a bit more than is a good idea.

A towing /caravan forum would have far more experts on this sort of thing....  I guess 3500kg is the total weight of your vehicle, the fuel, passengers and the weight of what you are towing (as in everything).
