EGR blank will it cause my MIL come on Focus 1.8 TDDi Endura

Featured Replies

Hi all will a blank  off on EGR cause any MIL or similar come on, on a 2004 1.8 TDDi Endura engine?

Any advice most welcomed

i don't know, but MIL being on is not a MOT failure on a diesel car of that age (2004), in case you were worried from that aspect

Not 100% sure on the older version of the engine but the updated version (1.8 TDCi) is quite happy to have the EGR blanked and now throw a strop.

The blanking plates are cheap (make sure it's steel and NOT aluminium) my 1.8 TDCi runs much better when blanked so I don't think you've got much to lose by giving it a try.
