Should I use Redline or professional injector cleaning on my diesel?

Just wondered what the general opinion is on this as I'm reading mixed views. I have a 1.4 diesel with around 70,000 miles on the clock and it's never had this type of maintenance as far as I'm aware. I considered getting a Terraclean but I read a couple of stories about people having issues afterwards which made me hesitant. I'm not sure how effective Redline would be without regular use though. Anyone got any recommendations, bearing in mind it's never had any type of treatment before?
