We have had a 2012 1.6 ecoboost for a year and a half, it's had the low coolant warning recall and earlier this year we noticed a loss of coolant. Ford dealer confirmed head gasket failure and replaced it at Ford's cost. Unfortunately they pinched the head gasket when replacing so back it went. Then it went back again to sort an injector seal issue!

Many months later the car is back and finally seems to be sorted. My head is telling me to sell it but I like the car and would like to keep it. How does this engine lose its coolant and is there an upgrade that can be done to prevent it?
