Mondeo Mk5 fog light

I have an issue with the front fog light on a Mk5 Mondeo (2015):

One of the front fog lights seems to come on and stay on, even when the ignition is off and car is locked. I'm assuming this is a short somewhere but I can't get to the bottom of it.

Can someone please tell me where the fuse for the front fog lights is as it's draining the battery overnight.

Thanks,

Ben

Put your reg number in on the Ford Etis website and then make a note of your VIN number. Download the Ford Pass App, add your vehicle using the VIN and your user manual will then be available to view, which should have your fuse diagrams and locations. Locate the front fog fuse, remove and your fix is sorted! Obviously make sure it is an exclusive fuse not covering any other vehicle operations

there is no fuse. the body control module powers the front fog lamps. i would disconnect battery for a few mins and see if the bcm resets its self

Hi There Ben.

would you be able to tell me how you fixed your problem as I have the same issue with my 2014 Mk4 Mondeo. Driver side front fog light comes on by itself and won’t go off. I have disconnected battery then back on but the fog does same. I have now removed the fog bulb to hopefully stop any drain until fixed. Unusual as it’s only one fog causing the issue.

Thank you in advance.

Glyn.
