Ranger cut out...

Featured Replies

Last night I was driving home, and my pickup suddenly just died, and then wouldn't start again. No engine lights, no warnings, nothing.

I was only about 100 yards from the house so I left it where it was and walked home. Went back to it this morning and it was absolutely fine. Drove it the rest of the way home, no warning lights or anything.

It felt like it might have been fuel related by the way it cut out, or potentially battery/power related by the way it sounded trying to restart. It was 1am though and I was needing my bed so my memory of it isn't all that clear, and of course I can't replicate the issue.

Anyone experienced anything like this before? I'm thinking I should just get an OBD2 reader and see if there's any saved codes, but I'm worried about driving now in case I get stuck somewhere less convenient...

Its a 2015, 3.2litre manual.

Thanks
