I am talking of private sales of Ford Fiesta or Focus Ecoboost. 

Hardly any private sales. Is it because its such a good car that people who bought them new since 2013 are holding in to them. 

My Ecoboost is 2014 with 40k miles and am resisting the urge to change cars. 

It's because they've all blown up after either the coolant fell out or the oil pump got blocked up.  There are loads about online with 'brand new Ford engine' in the ad as if that's a plus point.  

 

Tbh though there just aren't many private sales at all now, of any car.  The car industry has completely changed, most people finance and either part exchange or sell to a car buying service now.  And those that buy outright don't usually have a budget of ~£5k in cash.  I've found from experience anything over £3k is hard to sell privately now...but anything under a grand shifts within a week!

Mine is just 5 years old now and running well, so don't see a need to change.
Last focus MK1.5 I had for 10 years with few issues.
Had a look at some newer cars, recently, but might hold off and go electric in a few years when infrastructure is better?
