Filling up

Featured Replies

Just joined the group so forgive me if this has been asked before, For what ever reason I cannot fill up at the Garage now, I have a 58 plate focus Tdci, When I try to fill up the pump just cuts off straight away as thought the tank is full, I've tryed various different garages incase it was a fault with there pump but to no avail, Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

do you have easyfuel type filler where there is no cap?  it needs the correct size nozzle to open the flap further down so eg. if you put unleaded nozzle in, the flap would not open. I have heard of these going wrong so they don't even open with the correct nozzle. I don't know if you can dismantle yourself or just have to buy a new filler neck.

Yeh it's an easyfuel filler, Definitely haven't put the wrong nozzle in so looks like a new filler neck 🙄

try next time you go to fill up, not squeezeing the pump trigger fully as sometimes if the fuel comes out the nozzle to fast it will click and stop,

Make sure not to lift the pump when pressing it has to be perfectly straight and true otherwise it will stop. If not then yes it's pooped.
