I have a Focus MK3.5 ST can the front air bag be turned off?

    Front passenger airbag can be if you have the key slot...normally located either on the side of the glovebox (passenger door open) or in the glovebox itself.

    Looks like it’s a option! Which is a bit stupid. Do you only need to turn it off if it’s a rear facing seat?

    Correct in terms of it being an option, all depends on what the person buying it new requested and what trim. For safety only rear facing seats need to have it turned off. However for the best safety its best to put any child seat on the rear seats.

    i don't know how ford decide if it's optional or not. on my 2007 fiesta it was optional , on my 2015 fiesta it was standard.
