ford 6000 cd player

Featured Replies

hi, my mk2 focus is having speaker issues, I had the 2 rear speakers replaced last January and they have stopped working, the drivers side front works when it feels like it, ive tried to get the cd player out to have a look but cant seem to release the top left clip to release it, any ideas, thanks

both rear speakers died on mine... radio 100% it was the speakers (nice build quality... must have learnt how to make that ***** from other German part suppliers)

What do you mean, can't 'release'? Have you been able to insert the clip fully inside the head unit body?

cheers for the video, I was putting the keys in wrong, took stereo out and there was a lose wire, wriggle it and got the drivers side front one working but not the rears, theres lots of wires going into the cd player so haven't a clue with ref to the rears

In all my years pottering with cars, I've only ever had one speaker actually go faulty, and it was an easy diagnosis. A Mitsubishi FTO when I removed the door card, the speaker was sitting in it's own puddle of water due to a faulty door seal. All other issues have been 'wiring' and usually my fault due to my exceptionally poor soldering technique! You said you had the rear speakers recently replaced, that would be my first port of call, pop in to who did it, and see if something has come loose...

I bought it from a used car dealer who's no longer in business, they got the rear speakers working, even thou they died again within 10 months
