That's strange Ive got a 1.5 ecoboost but I didn't get a TSB for oil dilution? Instead I got a TSB for brake booster Software

I suspect the oil dilution is ONLY applicable to diesels

I wouldn't be surprised if it was petrol to I kno previously the Honda civic 1.5 had this issue

Diesels regularly inject additional fuel to increase exhaust temperatures to force regenerate the DPF, some of this can get into the oil.

AFAIK petrol vehicles with GPFs shouldnt need to force regenerate under normal circumstances but when they do, its done by weakening the mixture which causes higher exhaust temps in petrol fuelled vehicles

I've got that on the diesel.

I'm booked in for the first 10,000 mile service at the same time but if they've got to change the oil and filter because of this recall, I'm not paying for the service.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Have you got the "change oil now message " showing on instrument cluster? And is your mileage below 6600 miles?

If both are relevant to your car, you will get oil change for free. Otherwise you will pay for your service at the relevant service interval.

It is only relevant to the 1.5 dv neo diesel engine as fitted to the focus and EcoSport.

How did you go about informing your dealer about the recall, I've just been in last week about the change oil warning coming on and thy mentioned nothing about a recall or free oil change.
