Focus cut out

Featured Replies

Hi I hope this is allowed to post here and I’m not posting in the new area I’m new here and hope I could get some advice..

last friday, the 13 my 2003 Ford Focus began to get some issues and by the end of the day it wasn’t running!

I went home for my lunch and by the time I got there(10 min drive) I noticed there was water running in the passenger side floor well, I looked and it appeared to be coming down inside the passenger side footwell I assumed clogged air conditioning after a google search.

By the time I’m returning from work for the end of the day suddenly half way home after I go over a speed bump my air conditioning turns off all together and makes no noises what so ever or blows any air at all by the time I’m home I turn it every way I can but no response it’s completly dead now.. I have plans so I go out following this... by the time I come to my car 2 hours later it won’t turn over! My friend jump starts the car which starts it just fine then after leaving it running for 10 minuets it just cuts out (after a banging noise begins to come from the air box) at which point we jump it again.. five minuets later the same thing.. We left it overnight then when we return to jump start it some 12 hours later even with jumper cables on it’s not wanting to start..

i have no idea what could cause these issues or if they could possibly be related so I’m really hoping someone here could perhaps put me into the right path or has any similar experience or knows if these would be related or not..

thanks so so much in advance for any response
