Hi all new to the forum,

I have a mk2 focus and the brakes need changing can I use the brake set up off an lager Ford such as a kuga/galaxy to avail of the bigger brakes?

Is it worth converting the drum brakes in the back to disks and has anyone any suggestions on brakes?

Converted my rear drums to discs, also converted my fronts to 300 mm disc's and can HONESTLY say I can't notice much of a difference imho.

So if your standard set up needs renewing just go with that, unless of course you thrash it around the country lanes.

some models of focus mk2 have bigger front discs that others. eg, I think 1.8tdci has bigger discs than say petrol 1.6.  but if you just do the front then you might upset the balance between front and back. and the same if you just do the back.

Since replacing my discs, pads front , my shoes,  brake cylinders rear with aftermarket parts and bleeding the brakes. Braking is much more improved than it originally was.
