Indicator problem

Featured Replies

Hello.

Right/Rear indicator not working. I change the bulb. Relevant fuses hadn't blown but renewed them anyway.

Left front & rear working normally. Right front working but ticking twice as fast.

Hazard at normal speed for the three indicators working apart from right rear= so surprise there:)

please, any advice would be truly appreciated.

Thanks.

Well that was completely pointless haha.

The indicator blinks faster when there is a bulb out to let you know there's a problem.

Is the bulb you put in definitely working? Put it in the rear left to confirm. There may be a problem with the wiring or corrosion on the contactors otherwise.

do the wires go into a plug that plugs into the lamp cluster?  I don't know what these lamp units are like. Might be corrosion in that plug/socket.  If it comes to it you might need to run a wire from the lamp unit to the fuse box if there is a break somewhere and it's too hard to find.

or perhaps one of those big plugs on the top or bottom of the fusebox needs reseating. I do not know if front and rear indicators have their own pin each in a plug or if they share one pin.

I think you have a big white fusebox under the glovebox don't you? with lots of big wiring plugs.

not really... there are a few reasons why a fuse may be faulty- not just blown.. logical thinking i say..

anyways thanks for your time, I'll look into it.

cheers.
