Wipers only work on high speed

Hello, 

2013 ford ranger 2.2 

The wipers only work on the highest speed and stop whenever you lift the stalk. Not returning to set position. Was originally told it was the motor but I've changed that for a replacement. Any ideas?

    If you haven't already, I would disconnect battery for 10 mins and try it again. If that doesn't work, unplug the body control module multiplugs and check for corrosion/water ingress. 

    The bcm is the interface/ controller between the motor/relays  and wiper stalk.
