Slow passenger side window, going up.

Featured Replies

Hi lads, tried searching but to no avail, I've got a very slow passenger side window, on the up cycle, going down seems fine.

Do you think I need a new motor, or a whole new regulator assembly, I've found a 3 door regulator assembly with motor on eBay for £20, or I can get a motor for around £10. Or should I just try lubricating the winding mechanism and motor cog. Look forward to your advice 👍

Spray the vertical  channels it runs on with silicone spray first.

I agree with Iantt.   I think it is unlikely to be the motor itself.  I previously had a 2007 mk6.5 . I got it when 5 months old and had it for 9 years. The passenger side window always seemed to struggle on its way up all the time I had the car. I always meant to look into it (in case it just stopped half way one day) but never quite got round to it.
