Hi I had a 58 reg Titanium Mondeo with the 6cd DAB radio, will it fit in my 10 reg Focus Titanium along with the better looking Steering wheel?

I guess the radio will, but the wheel??

The Mondeo Sony radio's are technically different from the Focus Sony radio's. The biggest compatibility issue is the illumination. On the Focus the illumination is conventionally controlled by a 12 Volt illumination signal. On the Mondeo the illumination is digitally controlled by the CANbus network. Apart from this there are also minor CANbus protocol differences which can result in the radio showing "unconfigured mode".

To install a Mondeo steering wheel into a focus you need to perform major modifications to the circuit boards of all switches. Every switch is basically a resistance circuit where every button has its own resistance. The Mondeo and Focus have completely different resistor values. It is a lot of work to modify the Mondeo switches to the Focus resistor values. Apart from this the clock spring of the Focus has less conducting tracks than the Mondeo one. To make all functions of the Mondeo steering wheel work you have to modify the clock spring and build an electronic circuitry to communicate several signals just over 2 wires.

I have done this Years ago and it took me several Months to make all functionality work correctly.
