Hoping someone can help me. I’ve got an 11 plate 1.6 focus (titanium edition). It’s got build on sat nav, Bluetooth and usb connections. The maps are loaded by SD card, of which I’ve been using the original one that came with the car Western Europe 2011. Which is well out of date. I’ve recently purchased  the ford mfd Europe and turkey one from 2019 on eBay after reading the forums. Only issue is when I’ve swapped the cards I’ve appeared to lost the phone book in my car to my phone and the aux - it just shows Audio muted on screen. Does anyone know why? I’m at a loss. 
 

ive plugged the old one in and this seems to make everything work again but obviously the maps are out of date! Any help would be much appreciated

if there is one - make sure its running software it should and try again

my sisters (which was sync 1.1 (2014 model)) went through 3 updates to the nav unit before loading the new mapping when I put a 2019 map in hers.  All of which were separate to the update for hers (on the 1.1 page from Link at the site above)

 

 

Thanks so much. No update apparently. I’ve taken the new map card out, out the old one in and everything updated. Then tried putting the new one in and don’t ask me how but it’s now working!

on my sisters car I looked very carefully how the card came out.... then offered up the new one very carefully, it wanted to slide in in a totally different angle... this happened three times and had a moment each time.

in the end I had to force it in so it would sit in the direction the original came out, then it worked correctly
