Mk2/Mk2.5 'garage door' storage in front of gear stick

Hi guys, new here.

I have a, what's hoped, pretty straightforward question about the 'garage door' flap storage bit in front of gear stick in my MK2.5 zetec s Focus. I have currently the non-smokers spec, so just a plain old box behind the 'garage door'. I need another 12v socket in there, so was thinking to get the ashtray unit to swap into there. Question is, does anyone know if the 12v wiring will be just there in the loom waiting to plug into the 12v/cigarette lighter socket if I get the ashtray?

    Here is the right place.

    Best advice though is to just remove it and check, you will be removing it anyway if you fit it.

    Moved for you.
    There won"t be wiring there as the smokers pack tray was designed for the mk2 which had a 12v socket in the cubby where the tray fits in.
    You will need to tap into the wiring that runs to the existing 12v socket on the centre console.
    To fit the tray you will need to lift the console top anyway so accessing the wiring will be straightforward.
