Focus st line, auto lights

Hi, I have just purchased a new focus st line x. Noticed this morning that the fog lights were on with my auto lights. Why would this be ?

    Aren't they the "cornering" lights?

    Daytime running lamps are led , headlights aren’t unless you’ve got them as an extra. Front ‘fog lights’ double as cornering lights. That’s what your seeing. Turn the wheel left , left light will come on and vice versa

    You can't configure MK3 Focus Fog lights as cornering lights, but you can configure the fog lamps as DRLs.

    I suspect this is what has happened.

    Don't they have the MK4 though?

    So the bulbs down in the bumper/wings are fogs/cornering.  They will come on either when you turn the wheel or manually switch on fogs.  The LED strips within the headlights are DRLs and are on permanently, as per all new cars from 2011.
