mactoserver
I work in the web & server administration space and have never seen anything quite as ridiculous as this before I can confirm that there are in fact issues when downloading from different sources, you get a corrupted ZIP file. I tried from my various servers and got different hashes for each location. However, abeads4t5432's solution, removing the "s" from httpd works perfectly - thanks! Quote 1. on the Ford "SYNC Software Update Step 1 of 4: Start download" page, right click the "Download Files" button and select "Copy Link Location" 2. Open a new browser tab and paste the link into the URL bar. Depending on your profile/vehicle, it will be something like: https://ivsubinaries.azureedge.net/owner-package/8028548140445630832/JR3T-14G381-AS.zip 3. Modify the link by REMOVING the "S" from https. The above example becomes: http://ivsubinaries.azureedge.net/owner-package/8028548140445630832/JR3T-14G381-AS.zip 4. Press ENTER and save the file like usual
MATTCARROLL2012
i am trying to download the latest map update, getting all the folders and files after unzipping apart from "DONTINDX.MSA." anyone help? thank you
SgtAWilson
You dont actually need a file called "DONTINDX.MSA" for it to work But if you want to, you can just create a blank file in NOTEPAD (windows) and save it as "DONTINDX.MSA" and put it in the top directory of your USB stick
FrankTheTank
I know this thread is a little old but I was having the same issues and just came across this post and wanted to reverify that the method listed below does work and continues to work. You are a lifesaver. I tried multiple operating systems, multiple web browsers, even tried downloading with curl and wget through terminal on Mac and Linux as well as the browser on my iPhone. None of it worked. Until you said take the "s" off. I'm both extremely happy and extremely angry that it was that simple… I also re-downloaded this file and unzipped it using Safari, Firefox, chrome, Safari web browser for iPhone, and Internet explore. They all worked for me once I took the S off the HTTP. I tried this on Win10 with MS Edge and Firefox as well as Ubuntu with Firefox and wget, all with the same consistent results. I hope this helps someone.
