Alex.S
I was looking at this settings today. Enable mobile apps via USB was turned on, I use Apple CarPlay thru USB. Other option is just Enable Mobile Apps. It was/is turned off, when turned on it didn’t find any apps. I looked in the owners manual, doesn’t make much sense. Does anyone know if this is for Android only? Or can I play downloaded music without a cable?
Mark-UK
Moblie Apps and CarPlay are different things The Mobile Apps have to be compatible with ford applink, there is a catalogue of available appes here https://www.ford.co.uk/owner/resources-and-support/sync-bluetooth/applink-catalogue/applink-sync3 Some are useful others a waste of time in my opinion, personally I use the acast podcast app all the time and this works great.
Alex.S
14 in total!? I’m mainly interested in wirelessly streaming music from my iPhone. Having my phone plugged into USB port everyday is going to ruin my phones battery.
Mark-UK
I use Android, but can't see why it would be different on apple as it just goes through bluetooth So my phone in called Moto G (5s) Plus as can be seen lower right main home screen Select Audio from the Sync3 lower toolbar and all your Audio Sources are shown, select your phone It will start playing where you left off If you want to change music just select Browse

Alex.S
Does the music need to be already downloaded to my phone? Or able to stream from Apple music? Either way it’s good, gonna go out try it just now.

Alex.S
This is great! not only got the Apple music Siri working now, also I can use Ford navigation at same time! That’s not possible with Apple CarPlay.
