Problem with boost gauge

Featured Replies

Hi everyone new here

I own a 59 plate focus st-3 and this morning I replaced the maf sensor on my car and now all of a sudden my boost gauge doesn't move my other 2 gauges work fine still was wondering if anyone could shed any light as it was working before I replaced the maf sensor.

This happened to a friend of mine a few times. First time it happened, he just disconnected the battery for half an hour and that cured it. Second time, he popped the gauge cluster off, unplugged and plugged it back it. This was on a MK3 model, but should still work on one of your vintage.

The ECU is maybe confused did you disconnect the battery before replacing it?

I've popped out the cluster and taken the plug out of the back of it left it for 5 mins and still no change  after speaking to a friend who's got a bit more knowledge in this sort of stuff he said that I dont need to disconnect the battery however when I watched a video on YouTube that person did disconnect the battery..
