What automatic transmission is in my 07 focus? And are they reliable?

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I have a mk2 ford focus 07, it has an automatic transmission and I would like to know the model name.

Is it powershift? Duratec? Is it dual clutch or torque Converter?I have attached a picture of the gear lever.

Additionally, how reliable are these transmissions?

Many thanks.

No snazzy name for this one lol, just 4F27E.  It's a conventional torque converter auto.

Seem to be reliable, just not very good on fuel.  Much more reliable than the later Powershifts though!

As above, just keep the fluid clean and it'll go forever

Out of interest, is there a reason why it is a LHD version?

I wonder if the Op just lifted a pic off of the internet rather than going out to his car to take a pic (I guess all will be revealed shortly!) 😀
