Steve Butler
Hello Everybody. I'm about to change the front wishbone's on my C-Max, And i've been given conflicting info on how: Do i tighten the bolt's with the full weight of the car on the suspension, or without? Thank you
dezwez
When I do this I lower it down on to the wishbone on to a axel stand then tighten them up so its a yes
TomsFocus
Yep, as above, the front pivot bolt definitely needs to be torqued with the suspension loaded.
Frembrit
Not done one in a while, but I either lowered on to my ramp (caravan levelling ramps) or I could reach with the wheels on the ground. This was for the MK2 Mondeo and MK5 Escorts/Orions.
