Hi Everyone looking for some advice.

Started car up Friday morning and there was a massive pop and started revving by itself and sounded like it was running on 2 cylinders.

Stripped it down this morning and found that the Inlet Manifold has burst open.

Some have suggested that the timing has skipped?

Before I order the new bits that I need does anyone know if this is common problem with these? Or should I be looking for something more sinister to see what's actually caused it first?

Car is a 2009 Focus 1.6 Petrol
