Billboh
I have a 2017 focus st-line; First time posting, I had a quick look through the guides section, but couldn't find the answer to my question. Basically, I've bought these lights for my car which are powered by plugging them into a 12v power socket (I've used the socket under the arm rest). When turning the car off, the 12v socket doesn't power down meaning the lights stay on. Is there a setting somewhere I can change for the sockets to power down when turning the engine off or locking the car?
StephenFord
Pretty sure the answer is no, it's a stupid design. You may find this thread of interest where I and the poster installed new sockets!
matt77303
Pretty sure you can control that via forscan. Matt
Jonro2009
You can do it via Forscan, I did my 2017 STline
Billboh
Hey guys, thanks for the responses! I went and had a quick chat to my local garage, and they said they'd be able to use a piggy-back fuse holder to power down the 12v sockets. Not exactly Forscan, but old school will work just as well...

All they are going to do I say take a feed from a switched live fuse using a fuse tap. They won’t use the fuse for the 12v socket either, it’s a really really simple thing to do yourself depending on how much the garage are going to charge you. all you are going to need is a fuse piggy back (£1.95), a 12v female power socket (£5), and a 12v car fuse tester (£5) and about half an hour.
