Ford focus titanium 2012 eco technita petrol 998cc car is currently making a rattling noise when I increase the gas suddenly. The sound is not heard for smooth acceleration. Almost hearing the sound all the time when driving.

A mechanic checked everything and he couldn't locate the noise where it's coming from.

It seems like a common problem in a ford focus 998cc engines.

Can any one please help me with this?

    If it's a metallic tap tap tap sound I believe it's the fuel pump. Put a screw driver to your ear and hold it on some of the metal parts towards the top right side, looks a little like a bike bell above the oil fill port. It should ring loud in your ear when you hold it on the correct part

    I did that but not hearing the sound louder. 

    Does the fuel injector make this sound by any chance?
