Ford Focus mk2 remote key locking/unlocking problem

Featured Replies

Hi guys. I want to say sorry in advance because I dont know if this is correct place to start this discussion. And beside that, sorry for bad english.

But, what is important is my problem with locking/unlocking with remote key. After programming my key I finally got possibility to lock and unlock my car (Ford Focus mk2) with remote key. It worked perfectly in first few attempts to lock and unlock. After that, I went to coffee shop and when I came back I could not unlock my car with remote key. I got inside by unlocking it mehanically and I was driving for some time. After I came home, I turned off my car and again I could lock it without any problems in next 1-2 minutes. Next day, same problem happened, after car had been turned off for some time I could not again unlock it with my remote key. After I turned it on, instantly I could lock it and unlock it with remote again.

I concluded this. Remote key is perfctly working with new battery inside it. Problem is, when my car is turned off for some time it can not recognize my key signal when i try to unlock/lock it until I turn car on. After turning on, it is working perfectly all time till I turn off my car again and leave it that way more than 1-2 minutes.

To me, it looks like my car "forget" remote key signal after 1-2 minutes after I turn off my car. Is it possible? Have anybody had problem like this? Does anybody know what could be the problem and how can I fix this?

Thanks alot, and again sorry for my bad english.
