Rear sway bar D bushes

Hi are the bolts for the rear swaybar D bushes tack welded or something? I cant seem to get them to move at all and they seem like they want to just round off 😭

On my MK1 the fixings unbolt as normal presumably yours is the same👍

Probably usual story with suspension fixings, seized up😭

I'm getting the annoying clunk on small imperfections. The links are new so need to attack the bolts very restricted space as well.

Yes I’ve experienced clunking from the anti roll bar fixing to the subframe.The sound amplified itself and worried me slightly 👍

Yeh it's really annoying passengers think something is going to fall off and it makes me angry lol

Don't use 12-sided sockets. Buy a set of impact ones which are 6-sided.that way less chance of rounding off.  (apologies if you already know this)

its called an anti-roll bar because it is designed to resist roll,
Sway is what a long dress does

Yeh I learned by that mistake a while ago thanks though 😃
