Mk2 facelift driver door not unlocking with fob

Featured Replies

I have a mk 2 facelift focus. Been driving it for 6ish months and now driver door wont unlock with fob but will lock fine. All other doors work as should. From what I have found online it's the gem module but I don't want to throw money towards a new one if there is a simple fix.

Anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it?

Cheers

Sounds like the lock button on the fob has gone down.

Sorry, read your post wrong.

Try lubricating the mechanisms and checking a cable hasn't become detached on the drivers door.

Also, stick your ear by the lock mechanism and see if you can hear it clicking when you operate locks, then you'll know it's the latch not the wiring
