Replacement Head Unit Purchased

Featured Replies

I have bought a secondhand head unit to replace the faulty one in my 2015 Focus 1.5 Tdci Estate.  Will the new unit require coding to the car?  Can only a Ford dealer do this if required? The unit is the DAB/MP3/Sync/Bluetooth/Voice Control part number F1BT-18C815-HM, Finis 2013033.

Yes  it will require coding to the car, any decent auto electrician with the correct updated software should be able to do this

Is this sync 2? With the touch screen?

If so, you may get away with plug and play if lucky. If not, simple programming through forscan will get it fully functional :)

Just seen your other thread, you may just have a dead lcd display. If this is the case, you could just swap this from the new head unit you’ve purchased. Rather than replacing the full headunit.
