DSpoor
Hi. Can anyone help please. I recently bought an Ex Demo Focus Active X Estate 2.0 Diesel Ecoblue 2019 Fully loaded with the Exception of LED headlights. It has standard Halogen Headlights with H7 for Dipped and H1 for Main Beam. Does anyone know which LED bulb holders i need to buy for both bulbs when fitting LED Bulbs from Ebay/Amazon. There are so many out there to buy and none of them state they are for a MK4 Focus. Its a very confusing thing to buy. I was in the Main Stealers 2 days ago and mentioned i was thinking of buying the adaptive LED headlights for the car but the Ford engineer told me they wont fit as the loom would all need changing and there are also sensors on the Axles for the adaptive headlights to adjust levelling etc. Also they would need programming which ford do not do either. He advised (off the record) just to get LED Bulbs with canbus on them as he has them in is Smax are they are great and show no errors on the dash. So the only option is to fit LED Bulbs and to do that i need the correct holders to keep them in place. Can anyone help or advise please. Thanks in Advance
Alex.S
The halogen headlights are one of the few things I don’t like about my 2020 focus. I’m not bothered about adaptive lights , I understand why LED aren’t standard as they’re trying to sell the adaptive ones. I’ll be interested to see what advice you get on this topic. DaveT70
Ford have recently introduced LED low beams on the current Fiesta. Main beam is still H1 Halogen. The design of the headlamp doesn't look as though it has changed so Ford must have designed their own LED H7 bulb to replace the Halogen one. That could be a good place to start looking. I have read that not many (if any) LED H7s actually fit the bulb holder so you may struggle. Perhaps Osram lasers may be a good upgrade? I don't trust the cheap rubbish you buy off eBay anyway, they'll probably only last a month
DaveT70
Also, you "could" upgrade to the standard LED headlamps (the none adaptive ones), you might have to do a little bit of wiring changes and then configure them with Forscan but at least you won't need to worry about setting up or installing the sensors for the adaptive lighting. Wouldn't be cheap though
