Another rain sensor query!

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I know there's a million threads on this, however when i've taken my casing off, i've noticed there's 3 black wires, 1 goes to what I assume is the GPS module (pics below) but not sure what the other 2 do, could this be the looming already installed for a rain sensor?

Googling the code brings up results for GPS module and rain sensor, so i'm a bit confused

https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/531080105 - rain sensor but other threads seem to suggest this code is just the GPS module.

End goal is auto lights + wipers, which i believe use the same sensor.

Much appreciated in advance!

There's no wiring there for the sensor.

There is a very good thread on here somewhere of how to retrofit rain sensor to the MK3 have a search and follow that

Yep so there's 3, one goes to the GPS black box, are we thinking the others are heated windscreen + DAB?

two at the top are both DAB I believe, one maybe AM/FM

Damn, what are the chances there more wiring in the roof liner I can use for the rain sensor?

Hoping the wiring is there to the BCM, otherwise not sure i'll be able to wire it up myself
