I did wonder the same. Does seem strange if ford were still making them at the same time as the MK2.5. don't know exact when the 2.5 came out but must have been quite some time before this vehicle.

On etis it says it's a 2008- vehicle as in MK2.5

Change of keeper 4 months ago.

Earliest MK2.5 I can find on autotrader is build Jan 08.(57plate) That's 22months earlier than the one in the photo.

When I look on Etis it has our car as a 2018 but its reg is a 19 plate. First registered early March 2019.

A 2021 focus will show as a 2018 model . 2018 signifies it's a MK4

I'm waiting for a delivery from China too. Been tracking it on the container ships it's traveled on. Now stationary in the English channel awaiting room to dock in Felixstowe.

My fiesta surprised me today 😂. Took dad and two family members to visit my great grans grave. Went onto this slip road into the dual carriageway and was on the right side on the slip road. Put my foot down to gain speed to match the dual carriageway speed. This old man in his hatchback Volvo in the left lane beside me decided to do the same thing.

Surprisingly my car stayed next to him dispite having 4 people in it 😂. Was getting up to near 70 so decided to slow down and let the old man in front who proceeded to drive fast down the carriageway. Was a speed camera coming up too so didn't risk it.

I assume this means you're changing the collection over to summer tyres? 🙂

New intercooler fitted. Love the look of it through the grill.

Should I remove the grill to give it that exposed look 🤔

I wouldn't, yes, it would look great, but that 1st flying stone will be very expensive!

You know how they say little things please little minds...

I'm liking some very odd things about my first ever brand new car...  (Focus Active)

The ease with which the seatbelt reels out, the tightness of the indicator stalk...and there was a fine layer of beaded rain on the screen this afternoon, ughhhh, the satisfaction of new wipers sweeping across a new screen!!  :whistling:

What's your thoughts on regenerative braking? Do you notice it compared to normal braking?

Yeah, it's definitely noticeable but I wouldn't say it's unpleasant at all.  I have only used normal mode though, I've read it's Sport mode that most people seem to dislike.

Most of the charging is totally seamless (slowing for junctions or coasting down hills) and only seen on the dash gauge.

I haven't been far yet, around 20 miles total, all 30mph and most of which on cruise control.

Tbh the main 'dislike' I have is the noise...I'm slightly worried there's no oil in it with the racket it makes!  Guess it's just the normal 3 pot thrum without the engine cover though.

He's right tbf...it's on a 3 year deal and there's no way I'd keep it out of warranty!  So much expensive stuff to go wrong on them nowadays!

MHEV battery and generator, adaptive led headlights, GPF, wet-belt, digital dash, expensive AC gas, electric caliper motors, even the tyres are silly expensive on the Active lol!

Hopefully it's on eBay auction and I can throw in a bid too, my job and the union may have sorted out my pay increase by then; currently in year four of talks, 🤷🏼‍♂️ all non union members are not affected though only union members whom haven't gotten any wage increase for past four years, so it will be backdated,

Horrible really  when you think about it; considering were  manufacturing parts of the covid vaccines and aren't paid in accordance with the cost of living.

@TomsFocus time for your Ford Model to be updated then 😉 .

I do like getting the Ford Performance alloys after much dithering over the last couple of years. Whenever the stock alerts came up they often didn't have 4 available but this time when I checked they had 7. Placed the order and they turned up after a couple of days. Unfortunately of the first one I opened, there was a massive gouge/scratch on the top edge of the alloy extending for about 5 cm into the inner rim along with another 2cm one next to it.

Thankfully Ford store support have been really great and got me a replacement out next day. DHL dropped of the new one earlier this afternoon but the delivery driver said he wasn't collecting the old one. After waiting until 7pm I noticed a text on my phone from DHL saying that I wasn't in when they attempted the collection 😄. So I wasn't in yet they delivered the replacement in the afternoon (probably an hour or so before).

@BigLen I'm sure that if you're skills aren't appreciated at your current employer, others would be more appreciative, especially as it's a skilled job in demand right now.

Hopefully you'll get some better work life balance and you'll soon find things to do with wife, kids and doggy by the summer time.
