2012 focus clutch pedal adjustment

Hi all, Just wondering if the clutch pedal  on my 2012 face-lift focus can be adjusted, its about an inch and a half higher than the brake pedal and has no force until pressed below the 1.1/2 inch mark.

 I couldn't find anything on the net. Cheers.

The clutch is fully hydraulic and uses brake fluid from the brake fluid reservoir to operate. The system is designed to be auto adjusting to compensate for wear of the clutch friction plate. This way the clutch pedal will always be at the same position regardless of wear of the clutch friction plate. The clutch system can not be adjusted manually in any way.

The fact that the clutch pedal is slightly higher than the brake pedal is completely normal. If the clutch pedal is much higher than the brake pedal however there is most likely something wrong. The clutch assist spring will be the biggest suspect. 

The clutch assist spring is installed on the clutch pedal and has 2 different purposes. It helps to release the clutch quicker and limits the travel of the clutch pedal. A defective clutch assist spring is quite common. when the plastic part breaks the spring will push the pedal higher and put stress on the clutch master cilinder (which will eventually break). Replacement of the clutch assist spring is quite easy.

There is no indicator light?

My 1972 Opel Ascona had an indicator light when the clutch needed re-adjusting or replacement I would think such a modern car would have some kind of an indicator.

How long does a clutch last in km? 60.000, 80.000 or shorter or longer?

Depends on how it has been used/abused, I have known someone who had to a  clutch replaced having only done 10000 miles because he rested his foot firmly on the pedal. My Focus has done 102,000 miles and as far as I know its still the original one.

Hi all just wanted to ask because i changed my clutch pressure plate and disk but when we were bleeding the clutch biting point is so low and the pedal went down by half. We kept bleeding and bleeding and still the same result. Will a new clutch master resolve this issue?
