I started a thread re this. Thanks Dave, you’ve answered my question!  If it’s easily done it usually means it’s not expensive . Obviously the headlight units are nearly new , what’s involved in changing the bulbs?

I am planning to go to Ford and find out what these LED H7s are that are in the current Fiesta and now (it seems) Focus and find out if they are backwards compatible.

If they are I shall order a couple of sets.

It should simply be a matter of changing the bulbs (I hope)

So it looks like Ford has done to the Focus what it has done to the Fiesta, that is to replace the Halogen H7 in the dipped headlights with an LED H7.

That means you should easily be able to upgrade to a decent H7 LED without having to buy Chinese junk that flashes or blinds people.

I take it this doesn't include the Titanium model?

Not my Titanium, no.

Mine is a 2019 built in 2018

I've ordered the same car... Focus ST Line X 182ps.. Expecting Halogen Headlights. On Ford's website it now states the ST Line X now comes with LED headlights as standard, but costs about £1000 more now. Should have the car in the next few weeks so fingers crossed 🤞🤞

My ST Line X landed in March and it has the LED headlights and the alloys are gloss black, not matt.

@sastley

I’ve ordered the ST Line-X with the 1.5T 182PS engine.

Trouble is you've ordered a car that doesn't exist anymore, so he's going to find you a car that's already built, but matches your spec.

The "standard" ST-Line X headlamps are LED halogens (if it was built just before lockdown) and before that normal Halogens.

But it's just the standard Halogen headlamp with an H7 LED bulb.

The new 21MY ST-Line X Focuses have fixed LED headlamps (Hi and Low beam) standard but you can't be having one of these as 1.5 engine has been deleted.

I would recommend going back to the dealer and checking the order form to see what you are getting.

Just picked my car up today... it has fixed LED headlamps, but NO LED rear lights.... nevermind, the 182ps engine is great!! 😀😀

Cool you did well there. Is it just different bulbs I wonder or a different headlamp altogether?

The LEDs look so much better than the halogens I have.

0 miles?  Did you drive it off of the production line yourself?

Perhaps the garage drove it backwards for 7-10 miles before handing it over🤣🤣🤣🤣 but there were cars that you could clock back to zero before handing over to customer as long as milage wasn't over a certain limit.

See now I'm wondering if I can order and fit these bulbs from Ford.  Probably not, I expect they'd need coding in.

Wait til you've got 3 or 4k on the clock, engine loosens up nicely then.
