is it possible to use diesel speedos on a petrol car ?

i want to put the larger screen speedos in my car would there be any difference ?

    what would happen if i used diesel ones ?

    do the larger screen clocks come in petrol type

    The large display came on cars with sat nav, both petrol and diesel.  Also came on all RS's I believe.

    The diesel redline is much lower than petrol so won't read high enough.
