Vinyl stickers need declaring on insurance?

I was looking on CEUK today and found that they are doing vinyl stickers for the mk8 fiesta now.

for example these:

I have been looking online to see if this would have to be declared as a mod on insurance, and found no proper answer.

Has any one ever fitted decals to their car? if so have you declared them to your insurance?

If in doubt - ring and ask your insurer.

My insurance company don't care - but it's a commercial van policy, so comes under sign-writing as far as they're concerned.

Previously, I've had insurers who just about want you to declare if you're wearing new pants.

You're meant to declare them, but it shouldn't increase your premium with most insurers.  You're also meant to declare forum stickers etc but I doubt anyone ever does.

I do know someone who had their blackbox insurance cancelled after a police stop because they'd said the car was standard but it had window stickers and painted calipers...utterly ridiculous but there are a few out there!

Hi.

Yes we would recommend disclosing stickers / decals to your insurer just to be on the safe side as these are certainly on the database list of modifications that we use.

Regards,

Dan.
