Crankshaft Pulley 1690296 Ford Alternative

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I need to replace my crankshaft pulley (the other one has kind of disintegrated - rubber on undertray engine cover).

Can anyone recommend a good alternative to the Ford part (1690296), it's kind of pricey at £144.99.

Cheers,

Stophen.

Try web shop car parts. Use aftermarket by Dayco, Continental, Febi, Gates or Corteco. I did replace pulley on my 1.8TDCI as a precaution after the wet/cam belt service with Dayco. Also replaced the pulley bolt with Corteco one (had same stamp on the bolt head as original removed).

As a must, also replace the pulley bolt. There is a set of both available by above manufacturers.

Thanks @Ned_Mk2_1.8tdci!

I should have done it last year when I carried out the same service. Hopefully I won't need to replace the aux belt as I've only done about 8000 since.

Cheers, Stophen.
