Hi,

I have 2009 ford focus with automatic trans. and dpf

I have no errors but fuel consumption is high around 7.5l (32mpg)

is that normal, what is your average?

thanks

i don't know what it should be but are you going by what the dash says or doing it the 'proper' way.  Top up tank, record mileage, drive to almost empty, top up again and see how much fuel was needed to top it up that 2nd time and see how miles driven since the first top up.

I'd expect at least 40mpg tbh (sorry we don't deal with L/100km or whatever stupid metric unit the europeans have come up with).

Having said that, the auto tranny will lower your MPG a little.

Is your driving mostly motorway? Or more city driving in stop start traffic?
