Lock issue on Focus 2010

Featured Replies

Good Evening, i'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction with an issue on my Focus 2010, the tailgate won't open with either the electronic pad on the tailgate or using the remote button on the key, looking online it seems the fuse would be the first thing to start with, however it seems on this age of vehicle the fuse works the central locking on all doors, as the other four doors are functioning properly i'm discounting the fuse, other posts suggest if the electronic pad on the tailgate was faulty I could still use my remote key to open the boot, as both won't work (key or pad) i'm thinking the pad might not be at fault, does that only leave the locking mechanism? or is there something I've overlooked?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated?

Regards

Derek
