2006 1.8 Focus LX TDCI - Intermittent Power Train Light

Featured Replies

For about 8 weeks now, when I drive my car I get the power train light light up at me. All I have to do is just flick my engine off and on again and it goes away. There's no triggers that are apparent, nothing that seems to indicate when I drive a certain way that it causes this problem to occur. But as time goes by its getting more and more frequent.

I haven't got the money to get the diagnostics kit on it, and no where is open anyway ha!

I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem or any recommendations. Issue is, I need it for work!

I had a similar problem a couple of years ago and it turned out to be the heater/glow plug relay, it took me two years to trace it as no faults came up and the garage had never come across it before.
