Track recognition

Featured Replies

Could someone help tell me how to get the artist and track name on my screen, cheers

I assume Sync 2 or 3?

I use mp3tag to rewrite all my track data.

Look at my guides link (below my posts when viewed in a web browser), there's one for how to use mp3tag.

The problem is usually that no matter what a track number is, the system always puts the tracks in alphabetical order according to the track name.

I delete the track name and add a track number to the file name.

This forces the system to play them in order.

This may not be a priority for some but I get bugged if things are out of order, especially albums that have to play in the correct order (Pink Floyd's The Wall for example).

Also dislike Gracenote applying generic artwork to albums, mp3tag is good as you can ensure the correct art is applied & shows when Gracenote is turned off in the sync menu.
