Ford Focus door jammed shut

Featured Replies

Hello, I’ve got a mk2 focus 1.6tdci. 05plate. I need help with how to open offside rear door. The locking motor has stopped working so the car door is locked shut. I have the inner door card off but I’ve pulled wire, used wd40, locked unlock the car, checked the fuse. I know the motor is dead and I can’t get the door open to replace the door lock. Can someone please help with a way to open the door.

When you say the motor is dead, have you tried a wire direct from battery to the solenoid thing in the door to bypass any wiring fault? I can’t help you on wire colours/ plug pins though

Thanks for a reply. I’ve sorted it out. The old motor in the door lock stopped working. The only way I got the door open was I cut into the plastic to get to the motor and cogs. Moved the cog inside to open the door.
