Hi sadly although the headunit and bluetooth module are physically identical on both models; the software inside is very different and wont function correctly; you will also get noise coming through the microphone if you did proceed to transfer everything across.

I've experienced this before when I wanted a Sony headunit for my focus mk2.5 

I bought a 6 CD Sony unit from a mondeo and the radio aswell as the sound wasn't as it should have been eventually found it was a software issue as it was then fitted to a focus.

I've since gone fully aftermarket headunit, amplifiers, tv tuner, bluetooth streaming capabilities and reverse camera.
