I'm getting an "Engine Malfunction, Service Now" warning whenever I take the car into higher revs. Before the fault comes up the car begins to judder slightly. Once the fault comes up the car drives fairly well but takes a long time to accelerate.

The code I'm getting from the reader is "P00BD: Mass or Volume Air Flow "A" Circuit Range/Performance - Air Flow Too High"

The Air flow sensor has been replaced and so has the pipe that the sensor sits in. I've checked pipes for any cracks or splits and checked any connections are tight but cant see any issues. Has anyone got any other suggestions? Could it be an issue with the egr valve?
