would a transponder for other cars work if programed to the car a ford focus mk2 fl ? they look the same but says other cars. look like the pic ment for othe cars

    I think they vary. Eg I needed one for a 2008 focus and had to make sure I got a 4d63 and not a 4d60 (if I recall correctly). The one I got looks like your pic . I don’t know if others look the same.  With forscan you can tell if it’s correct type or not before you do the programming , if you try to start car with it, the fault code is different if wrong or right type(but unprogrammed) of chip.

    i was hoping most would be ok but never mind some other cars are ones are cheaper. cheers for reply
