Focus 2010 Bluetooth Fitment

Featured Replies

Hi guys, sorry to drag this topic up again. Fitted a Bluetooth module to the Mrs 2010 Focus Titanium, connects to the mobile fine, when i make a call the radio goes off and shows the call on the radio, all fine, however i have no sound. I've read that the sound goes via the AUX wiring. What do i need to do to get the AUX to go via the Bluetooth module to get phone call sound to the speakers?

The radio is the Sony DAB single CD version

Bluetooth Module part number is 8M5T-19G488-AM

Any help or advise would be great, thanks.

Paul

Hi, had the same problem with my 2010 Titanium Estate. Wrong audio patch lead fitted, swapped to an 8M5T-19A442-AB and all works fine.

See https://www.fordownersclub.com/tutorials/article/212-retrofit-bluetooth-with-voice-control-and-usb-for-focus-mk25/  for location and fitting.

Purchased from https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Ford-Kuga-Focus-C-max-CC-Dashboard-Wiring-Cable-A-V-Jack-Phone-1592580/273336174590?epid=1809731574&hash=item3fa41b07fe:g:U9cAAOSwGFZcZGa5

Hope this helps.

Phil

that's a nice catch,  lets hope its the right one there are three of those link cables

AA
AB
BA

I don't know what each one is for....   why aren't you guys doing the phone and music module... yes you need a few more wires for the stereo music, but that easy get the VAG loom from china for pennies and swap your current wires across and use some of the others

BVC module 8M5T-19C112-AN, AP, AR, AS, AT etc. ebay for the cheapest around £100 (after AR are the ones with a normal USB connector)

There are three cables, if like my car it already has the BA fitted, this is the one that doesn't work.

The AA and AB are identical but have different colour wires according to this post.

Cheers guys, cable ordered, thanks for the advice 👍

Hi. Hope Pauls cable arrived and was successful.

Took the advice from Botus and got an 8M5T-19C112-AS module from eBay. No extra wiring required on my model. Did have to update with ELM as not from a Focus.

Phone, voice, BT, USB and iPod all working.

Am now trying to fit a USB socket in the panel below the air con controls but for some reason there are connectors attached to rear of the blanks. I think they are for features

that are not fitted and will not be a problem.

Any advice welcome.

Phil
